Surviving the Omicron! or as the Ugandans say, "we survived the Omicroni." (which is the same word for Macaroni)
The lockdown is lifting in Uganda. And instructors and students alike are returning to campus. And now I am beginning to hear some of the stories.
When I first came to Uganda, I thought I had come too late to be of help. Their first lockdown started in March 2020, but now their 2nd lockdown is in effect. This happens again and again in Africa.

The above photo is of the uncle who raised my husband after his father died at a young age. He is pictured with a number of his grandchild, including Glory and Gracie. They call him Jaja.
